Jason Lawton worked for several years with his father Geoff producing these legendary mouthpieces. Jason is continuing to hand make the mouthpieces to the extremely high standard his father set. (At sax.co.uk we can honestly say we haven't noticed any change in quality). Production is rather slow at present so we will only list the models we have in stock in our Cybersax Catalogue.

Lawton Saxophone mouthpieces, made in the United Kingdom, have gained a very respectable name from players around the world. They have always been made from the best possible materials, e.g. the stainless steel mouthpieces made from surgical stainless steel, the highest quality available today and the ebonite mouthpieces machined from a solid bar, thus ensuring that the mouthpiece you buy today is still the same mouthpiece you are playing in years to come. With names like Johnny Dankworth, Ron Hollowday, John Williams, Frank Foster, Alberto Pinton, Dave Bishop, Vinny Golia, Tim Price, James Carter, Greg Banaszak, Ernie Watts, Rickey Woodard, Gary Barnacle, Don Braden and Sonny Rollins using Lawton mouthpieces, maybe its time for you to find out why these players use Lawton.

This is a truly amazing mouthpiece...Wow! The tone is clear, defined, and bright throughout... it certainly cuts through, however, there is a surprising sweetness and richness to it. This is very much a lead/soloist mouthpiece...very individual...Altissimo register is easily accessible and one of the best mouthpieces for harmonics...This is a slick mouthpiece...that’s why I use it..." (Tristan Clifton on a Lawton 9BB)

thanks for taking the time to talk with me the other day/night and for guiding me towards the Lawton Bari 7*B mouthpiece in bronze. I would also like to advise you the the mouthpiece arrived yesterday, (Tuesday), with it and the packaging in perfect condition. As for the mouthpiece itself; wow, I'm wrapt. There are a number of superlatives I could use here, but to say I am highly delighted is an understatement. As an endorsement for Lawton, I play alto, tenor and bari; and now use Lawton pieces on all saxes. 6* on alto, 6*B on tenor, (had it for 20 years) and now 7*B on Bari. Once again, thank you. Regards, Alex Kavanagh

WOW! I cannot believe quite how much of a difference this new mouthpiece has made to my alto! WOW! Its fab!  It was really nice to have so much choice and to be able to properly try them all out, even if it did take 2 hours to get a tenor mouthpiece as well as an alto one but it was definitely worth the 500 odd mile round trip. I've not got my new tenor with its mouthpiece and my alto out on display in my room just to look at them.  I love the T992 you guys had with the silver keys, and now its all mine! Can't wait to get back to school/college now to play in the bands and stuff again
. Thanks for all your help, Regards, Andrew Quayle
