Reviews
In my first visual contact with the System 76, I was impressed with the look, taste and finish in the details. I really blew it when i check the quality of the saxophone, an incredible sound, perfect pitch and especially a very distinctive sound projection. Rubens mariano de oliveira filho
I had played the same saxophone since I was 17, an old 1936 Selmer, which seems to often need tweaking and maintenance. So because of this I have searched for a long time for another horn that I felt confident enough in to play when the original was in the repair shop. I had looked at many options, vintage and new, but had never found anything that I liked. It was either a vintage horn with a beautiful sound and major intonation/control problems or a modern one with all the accuracy but a sound with no character. Then I tried the system 76, and I haven't been that instantly impressed with an instrument ever! Jeff King
Description
The ultimate sax for a powerful vintage tone.
A true modern classic - the 67R inspired a generation of vintage style horns and now it's available unlacquered. A huge, dark tone makes this a superb horn for jazz, blues and electric styles. It features drawn & rolled tone holes allowing better resonance and an enlarged bell to compliment an already warm, fat sound.
Description
The Mauriat 67R made an enormous impression when it exploded on to the sax scene a few years ago - from some of the greatest players down, saxophonists immediately fell for its dramatic but versatile character. It elevated P.Mauriat to sit alongside the World's best sax makers. Described in reviews as the closest to the legendary Selmer Mk6 - praise indeed! This Custom Class "Vintage Series" alto features an unlacquered finish (UL), rolled tone holes, beautiful abalone shell key touches and high F# key. The unlacquered look is in keeping with the vintage tone this model is famous for. The larger bell and lack of lacquer further encourages a full bodied, powerful tone. It is rare to find rolled tone holes on a modern sax and these give a noticeably quieter key action and extended pad life.

I was looking for an alto with a lot of personality and attitude and I have found those qualities in the 67R. Hats off to P Mauriat for making such an incredible saxophone. Darren Rahn
My P Mauriat PMXA 67R is a real pleasure to play. My sound has opened up since I started playing it and I can hear a richness, fullness and depth that with practise I can get from this superbly made instrument. Nathaniel Facey
My PMXA 67R is a true work of art and a joy to play. It is easily the best alto that I have played in my 35-year-plus musical career. Whether it is playing behind the Four Tops and Temptations, or blending with an orchestra, the PMXA 67R has proven to be reliable and a joy on which to perform. Farrell Vernon
