Description
Excellent high quality ebonite mouthpieces as supplied with Yamaha Custom saxes.
Yamaha's ebonite mouthpiece appears tailored with a classical focus, featuring a large chamber and a narrow tip. Notably, their numbering system, even with higher numbers, reflects smaller sizes compared to most other brands. The default tone produced is full, rounded, and lacks significant edge or brittleness.
For those considering a first upgrade or engaging in more advanced playing with a clean and classical style, the Yamaha custom is a highly recommended option. These mouthpieces boast large chambers for a full tone and relatively narrow tip openings for ease of play. The Yamaha Customs stand out as one of the most user-friendly soprano mouthpieces, offering excellent tuning, full sound across registers, and controllable warmth. Serving as a versatile 'blank canvas,' they are free-blowing and effortlessly expressive, allowing the player's unique sound to shine without imposing too much of their own character.
