I was honoured to be sent this ligature by the wonderful Roberto's Winds store in NYC as a kind of gift to say 'thank you' for promoting their reeds.  The accompanying letter from Roberto explained that they'd love for me to do a video review of it as they were confident that this revolutionary design would 'pleasantly surprise me'.  It has been a labour of love and a few years in the making.  Before even getting into using the ligature you have to first take a step back and commend their efforts as no expense has been spared.  The lig is presented in the biggest box you'll ever see for a lig; there are multiple layers of goodies within, from little wooden screwdrivers to perfectly sculpted end caps that so neatly pop over the mouthpiece and lig you won't believe it!  But when cutting to the chase and playing it, I have to admit that I was really knocked out with the extra resonance that was on hand, over and above a standard cloth lig.  Yes, it's not the kind of difference you get when you change reeds or change the mouthpiece - that is always going to be obvious when it comes to any kind of ligature appraisal, but the ability to be able to add something to the sound that already exists is a very special thing, and that's what I find occurs with the Uovo.  I also think that you can take your time with this lig and explore the resonance possibilities the more you tune your body into it and spend time on it.  Great job Romeo!\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"font-variant-ligatures: normal;
