In 2020 JodyJazz will celebrate its 20th Anniversary and to commemorate this important milestone the company is offering these exquisite and very special Limited Edition 20th Anniversary models.


The JodyJazz DV PLATINUM 20th Anniversary models are the company's acclaimed DV series mouthpieces, featuring the patented secondary window design, with a spectacular Platinum plating finish. They also feature a special Emerald green bite plate inlay. They are engraved with “DV PLATINUM” on one side, “20TH ANNIVERSARY” on the other side, and each one is engraved with its serial number on the shank. Only two models will be available, the DV PLATINUM Alto 7 and the DV PLATINUM Tenor 7*. Production will be strictly limited to only 100 pcs each. Serial Numbers will be 001/100 through 100/100 for each. The mouthpieces are very unique and look stunningly beautiful.

We all know about the qualities of the regular Jody DV, so I’m not going to get into that, suffice to say that this mouthpiece has been a Classic on the scene for quite some time now. I always delight myself every time I try one of these (whether it be for alto, tenor or the others) in just how rich, resonant and FREE BLOWING they are. On to the Platinum edition, I told Jody that we needed to have more than 100 of these, but I respect his integrity in giving me the answer that 100 will be the final number, regardless of how quickly they sell. These mouthpieces are a celebration of everything that this incredible company has achieved over 20 years and if you buy one, this mouthpiece should be one to treasure for a lifetime!

Tonally, If I had to get drawn on it, I’d say there is a tiny bit extra ping in the sound (due to the plating) but I may have been influenced by the fact that I was blowing on a ‘platinum’ plated mouthpiece! However, perhaps this is not really the reason for owning one – in my view it’s more about being part of history. - Jim Cheek

Goods purchased online from can be returned within 14 days of receipt. This does not apply to products where hygiene is concerned and product seals have been broken (Reeds, mouthpieces etc). Goods purchased through our website cannot be returned to our retail store.

  1. You must obtain a receipt with tracking information from the Post Office or chosen courier service. This can be used to track the item(s) that you are returning. We cannot accept liability for returned goods that we don’t receive or for those that get damaged in transit on their return.
  2. In all cases, (except where an item is faulty) the item(s) returned must be in its original and saleable condition. This includes all original packaging that must be undamaged and intact.
  3. All goods will be inspected on return. Where we have to make reductions in price to facilitate re-sale, you will be notified and the cost will be deducted from your refund.
  4. Goods are your responsibility until they reach our warehouse, so please ensure you package them up well to prevent any damage or loss during shipping.
  5. The initial postage and packaging charge is non refundable.
