When I met Rulon out at the 2018 NAMM music show and saw first-hand his inventions being demonstrated, I realised that this simple and neat idea was going to rock the saxophone world! Okay, it won’t make you sound like John Coltrane, but what it WILL do is remove the fear that your pads are going to stick exactly when you don’t need them to! I also found his evidence completely compelling in terms of just how much bacterial and fungal growth can build up in sax not properly cared for. By simply inserting the Sax Key Props into the Low Eb and C# key arms, which takes about 10 seconds (or 3 if you are Rulon!) you immediately allow the air to flow straight through these troublesome areas where moisture would normally settle and start creating all sorts of harmful health scenarios!
