A BEAUTIFUL 5 DIGIT SILVER PLATED ALTO FROM 1961
This saxophone is truly something special. The original silver plating on this instrument has aged in a really unique way, giving it a beautiful, soft matte look that's quite striking. It's not a shiny, new look, but something much more characterful. Fully overhauled and sporting its original case, this MK VI is a slice of history.
When it comes to the sound, it delivers exactly what you'd expect from a great saxophone. It's got a powerful yet warm tone, and it truly embodies that classic "singing" alto sound.
Honestly, we haven't seen a Mark VI in this kind of great condition for a very long time. It's rare to come across one that's been so well-preserved and still plays so wonderfully. Because of its condition and sound, we really don't think this one will be here for very long. If you're interested, you'll probably want to check it out soon.
