Assistant Manager - SAX LONDON

SAX is the World’s leading saxophone shop, dedicated to providing the best products, accessories, and exceptional customer service to saxophonists of all levels.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Assistant Manager to join our team and help us continue to deliver the best experience for our customers.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in a retail environment, preferably within the music industry.

- Excellent customer service and communication skills.

- Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and guide a team.

- Proficiency with POS systems and basic administrative tasks.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership

- Lead by example, promoting a positive and professional work environment.

- Assist in training and mentoring team members to ensure high standards of service and product knowledge.

Product Knowledge and Sales

- Maintain an extensive knowledge of saxophones, accessories, and related products to assist customers effectively.

- Drive sales by understanding customer needs, making suitable recommendations, and upselling when appropriate.

- Stay updated on new products and industry trends to provide accurate and relevant information to customers.

Customer Interaction and Support

- Manage and respond to customer emails and inquiries through Zoho Desk promptly and professionally.

- Provide in-store assistance, addressing customer needs, questions, and concerns with a friendly and knowledgeable approach.

- Ensure every customer leaves the store satisfied with their experience and purchases.

Store Management

- Ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times.

- Manage inventory levels, restocking products as needed.

- Handle customer transactions efficiently and accurately using the store’s POS system.

Customer Satisfaction and Service Excellence

- Resolve customer complaints and issues swiftly and satisfactorily.

- Implement customer feedback to continuously improve service quality.

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with regular customers to foster loyalty and repeat business.

Administrative Duties

- Oversee V12 finance applications, ensuring they are processed accurately.

- Maintain an efficient back-order system, ensuring customers are kept up to date with order ETAs and their orders are fulfilled promptly.

- Assist with other administrative tasks as required, ensuring the smooth operation of the store.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and business-savvy Workshop Manager to join our team and help us maintain and enhance the exceptional experience we provide to our customers.


Key Responsibilities


- Execute expert-level repairs and maintenance on customer and stock instruments, with an emphasis on saxophones.


- Develop and implement strategies to continuously improve workshop efficiency and service quality.


- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-equipped workshop environment.


- Prepare and set up instruments for both e-commerce and in-store orders, ensuring they meet our quality standards.


- Clearly and patiently explain repair processes and solutions to customers, catering to both beginners and professional musicians.


- Collaborate effectively with Sales, Workshop, and Logistics teams to ensure smooth daily operations and timely completion of tasks.


Qualifications and Skills


- Proven experience in woodwind instrument repair, with a strong focus on saxophones.


- Ability to deliver consistent, high-quality repair work under time constraints.


- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to workshop management.


- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to convey technical information in a clear and accessible manner.


- A team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across different departments.
