Theo has excelled himself with the DURGA 5 soprano mouthpiece. He describes it as follows: "We designed the DURGA 5 soprano to be the fullest sounding soprano mouthpiece ever made. It is a giant leap forward in soprano mouthpiece design!!!!" It's natural to be fearful of soprano mouthpieces with seemingly high baffles, but due to the unique design of this piece it really shouldn't be viewed as a 'one trick pony' but rather an incredibly full-sounding, versatile piece of kit.
The DURGA 4 was already a great mouthpiece, but Theo has improved it even further in the DURGA 5! Previously the baffle was higher and featured a secondary downward step into the chamber. The DURGA 5 has a completely re-designed baffle that curves inwards before it drops into the chamber, and along with the Medium-Stadium-Chamber (as opposed to the True-Large-Chamber from before) we now have an incredibly balanced and powerful sound. It can play a beautiful ballad, and at the same time it can burst through with powerful vibrancy and zero thinning out.
