Compact Support System for all saxophones

Are you tired of getting aches, pains and strains from practising your sax?  Well, the Saxarm has got you covered.  Designed for use with soprano, alto, tenor and even baritone, this support system is compact and practical, attaching with ease to most chairs or stools.  Therefore, it is the perfect addition to your home studio where you are trying to put in the hours but wish to do so in complete comfort, rather than placing the strain on your back or neck.  Equally, due to it’s portability, it can be used on the go in any gigging situation.

Flexible Positioning and fully adjustable

The arm allows players to position their instrument either directly in front or to the side, accommodating different playing styles and preferences. The Saxseat has been designed to be fully adjustable. Everything from the height of the seat to the angle and rotation of both the instrument arm and cup can be adjusted to suit your needs. This allows players of any size to play any size of saxophone with comfort and ease.

Comfort and Durability

Made from the highest quality materials, the Saxarm features a rectangular cushioned support pad on which the instrument can be rested, allowing complete instrument protection while offering the player an extra level of comfort due to the slight give in the material.

Seated Use

Although there is nothing stopping you from using the Saxarm while standing (attaching to a tall pole for example!) it is principally designed for seated positions. The Saxarm provides excellent support, enabling players to focus on their music without discomfort.

Correct Your Posture & Breathing
It is well known that most saxophone players will sound better when they play with better posture. One of the reasons for this is that it allows for much better breathing. As you practice from a seated position usually the instrument will begin to feel heavy and over time, the weight on your neck leads to you leaning forward. This in turn puts pressure on your diaphragm. If your diaphragm is not allowed to release it is much more difficult to breath properly. The SaxArm forces you to keep your back straighter while you play, therefore releasing some of the pressure on your diaphragm. This allows you to take in more air but also to breath out in a more controlled way.

Ergonomic Design
The SaxArm provides an ergonomic solution to a long standing problem. The problem being that extended playing sessions with the saxophone can, over time, take it’s toll. The saxophone is a heavy instrument and if you are not playing with good posture you may start to feel the effects in your neck and back. The SaxArm solves this issue completely by supporting the whole weight of the instrument the entire time. Allowing you to play freely while simultaneously correcting your posture.

From the Manufacturer: "We believe the saxophone is a beautiful instrument, so we’re making it more accessible to everyone.

Our mission was to breath new life into the saxophone industry. This is not a new problem, musicians have always struggled with the weight of saxophones, especially the larger ones. Guided by the goal of extending the life of the saxophonist we used our extensive experience as musicians, designers & metalworkers to create a simple product that solves a big problem."

Staff Review

Having just demonstrated this product in a video review on our V2 YouTube channel, I am extremely wowed by the quality of this new gadget.  This device could work for so many sax players out there, even those WITHOUT back or neck issues.  Just the very idea of removing the weight of the physical instrument from the equation altogether completely changes the feel of the practise session.  The only caviat would be that your sax is essentially in a fixed position so if we are not able to move up and down, in and out, etc, in the way we have trained ourselves throughout our sax journeys, therefore the idea of having the sax in a fixed position will take a little getting used to.  However, as a pure pracitse aid, and for getting the hours in (without discomfort) I think it is perfect!
